Took a beautiful walk filled with flowers today at our local senior center. A nice long trail that could easily be a mile if you walk every loop and path. Volunteers tend to the gorgeous gardens. What an awesome find!

Went for a little drive today and found an old cemetery that I’ve been meaning to explore. Found some really cool, old stones.

Everywhere I walk and drive in our little corner of Michigan I am surrounded by beautiful Queen Anne’s Lace. Started to notice that each cluster of white flowers has one small black dot about the size of a grain of rice. Do you know why? (See comments for answer!)

These recent sunsets, that are probably a result of the awful wildfires out west, always remind me of the Irish saying that goes, “It is an ill wind that does not blow some good to someone”.

Beautiful morning for a quick walk at the Royalton trail. The smoke is gone, wildflowers are blooming, and temps in the low 70s are right up my alley. Also took a little side trip to the St Joe river boat launch.

One of our last sunsets at our little cottage by the sea (aka lake Michigan ). Sad to be leaving, but so excited for the next chapter in St Joe.

One of my favorite things about living here is that we can be running errands and decide in the spur of the moment to stop to watch the sun set over the lake. I love walking up to group of fellow sunset enthusiasts. People are talking in hushed tones, watching the sky turn orange and pink and purple. It is so peaceful and amazing, no matter how many times I see it!!
