Don't Give Up

Can you think of a time recently where something was so hard that you just wanted to give up, but you didn't? Where did you draw strength from? What kept you going?

One of the most incredible parts of being a Christ-follower is that our own strength is only part of the equation. God's strength wells up in us. Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." How incredible that it doesn't say, "A sometimes present help." He is "a very present help."

In 2 Chronicles 15, we see that Asa, King of Judah, was up against major challenges—he had been trying to refocus the nation of Judah on God after years of idolatry and war. He was facing a huge challenge! Through the prophet Azariah, God spoke this encouragement to him to build him up:

"But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded."
2 Chronicles 15:7 NIV

God knew what Asa faced. He knew every detail of the burden, and all that was at stake. God also knew the strength He could provide to someone willing to rely on Him. He didn't say, "Good luck out there, that looks rough so don't blow it." He said, "But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded."

Just as Asa heard these words and took courage, we can take courage, too. We are not alone. We can rely on God's strength. The reward is coming. Don't give up.

Good morning, fbff. I pray you have a wonderful day. I pray God will continue to make His presence known as you travel life's journey. I pray He will continue to show you favor. Continue to lean on Him and trust Him. He won't let you fall. Be blessed and be safe. Much love.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for the gift of this new day. As I wake up and step into today, I invite Your presence to go before me. Fill my heart with Your peace and guide my steps in the direction of Your will. Strengthen me to face any challenges with faith, and help me to see Your blessings in every moment. Lord, give me wisdom in my decisions, kindness in my interactions, and joy in my spirit. Let everything I do today bring glory to Your name. I trust You with my life, my plans, my worries, and my hopes, knowing that You are working all things for my good. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Our Father, I present to you my friend - my sister who is in my heart. This is my prayer for her. Help her live her life according to Your Will. Lead and Guide her; renew her mind, and her
heart so she will overcome temptations and any barriers or weaknesses. May you position her in high places like an eagle. May she spread Love and shine in dark places where it is difficult for others to reach. May she bring a word of Love, Healing, and Peace to others. Surround her, Protect, and Defend her. Deliver her and her loved ones from hurt, harm, and all forms of evil; physical, emotional or spiritual (seen and unseen). Keep any virus, danger, pain or disease far from her; may she heal fast without long side effects.
Lift her up when she feels weak, and as she goes about her daily tasks, may she feel your presence and know with certainty that she is safe in your arms. Thank You Lord.
