I’m happy that we got to reuse the original hardware after cleaning it up a bit. That’s what mostly drew me to this piece.

Story time- one day last year, my friend texted me and told me that this dresser was on the side of the road. It was well-worn, Velcro stuck onto the drawer fronts, and some of the drawers didn’t slide right. Zach quickly rescued it from the dump and we went to work on it soon after. When we were finished with it, I staged and photographed it, but immediately fell in love with how it looked in our house 😂 so instead of posting it, we kept it! Recently, we decided to replace it with another piece that was more of a cabinet piece than a dresser with drawers.

This was painted in Oakmoss by . This color is SO GOOD, that we painted our replacement piece in the same color! 🤍

A couple of months ago, I spontaneously decided I wanted to redecorate our nursery. I was bored of the light furniture we had in there, but didn’t want to spend money on new furniture and didn’t have time to refinish a couple new pieces of furniture. So Zach and I simply sanded down the furniture we had in there and restained them!
So if you were ever curious what it would look like to stain an ikea wooden crib, this is what it would look like! 10/10 would recommend 😍
Then I sold a bunch of the old decor and used the money to buy a couple of cute canvas prints and stuck them in frames that I thrifted :)
Zach designed and made the wooden name sign himself. I’m pretty proud of how creative he is🪚

This frenchie was the very first piece of furniture we refinished in our new home last October - before I figured out the best place for lighting and staging in this house. So not my favorite staged piece but it sold quick and I had fun painting it! THAT’S what it’s all about 🫶🏼😊 I used “Perfect White” by and Weathered Oak stain by Minwax on the top.

We’re still here!!

It’s been almost a whole year😬since I posted any work we’ve done with Tardani’s Timber. I was trying to wait for the perfect time to post, when I could be more active and consistent. But there is no perfect time right now. I’ve been prioritizing my family and so this account has taken a backseat. And with baby #3 on the way, life is not going to slow down anytime soon😆
That being said, we are not going to let go of this business and it’s HIGH TIME I finally start sharing the pieces we completed over the last year!
These bedside tables were refinished for our master bedroom and so couldn’t be more happy with them 🥰

I thought sanding this piece down was going to be the death of me… but it actually wasn’t that bad! It was so gratifying to watch the grain pop when we sanded away the orangey finish and applied the tan wash. We used a 4 part water and 1 part Algonquin from to create the tan wash.

The power of paint is so REAL! Also, might I add, the power of pretty modern hardware😍 If you haven’t tried this color out yet, you need to! Besides painting and new hardware, Zach swapped out the old chunky base for a more sleek one with legs.

Every piece of furniture has a story, but this one is part of mine! ⬇️

Fun fact about me: I was homeschooled all through grade school. This was my school desk since middle school. I spent hundreds of hours at this desk, so you can see why I have a little bit of a sentimental attachment to it. However, it was time to refinish it, and move it out of my house. So here we are, 16 years later, ready to part with it. I wish I took a before picture, but we started “working on it” years ago.
