I know I haven't posted a much lately, and there's several reasons for that. One being I've been having a lot of issues with a pinched nerve in my neck for the past year, which has had a Domino effect with my shoulder, and causing numbness in my hands. It's hard to paint when you can't feel your fingers. I've been trying out watercolor lately and it's a goal for me to learn to master it for several reasons. First I've always loved it and have been scared of it, as it's known to be one of the hardest mediums to master. Two, it forces me to be looser which is something I love the look of. Lastly, it doesn't take as long, because it is looser, which helps my neck (an 8x10 pastel painting can take from 11-14 hours and an 11x14 anywhere from 12-22 depending on the subject). Watercolor also helps my ADHD brain as well, because completing a painting always gives tons of happy endorphins. 🥰 So here's my most recent painting of the lovely Callie, done in pastel. I also did a painting of two sweet dogs Country Boy & Penelope for Luciana Oakes. However, I was so excited to get it out in the mail I did the unthinkable and forgot to photograph it. 😱 Also, there's a few quick watercolors tutorials I've done, mostly from watching Hannah Pickerill on YouTube.
