Someone asked me this last week, and it comes up all the time, especially from clients building in Jamaica while they live and work somewhere else.

Here's how it works. We walk the site on a regular schedule and send you photos, video, and a written update after every visit. Nothing moves without you seeing it first. We handle sourcing, shipping, and the day to day on the ground, so you are never chasing a contractor for an answer. You get the finished home. We handle the miles in between. If this is the question keeping you from starting your project, send me a message. We would love to walk you through exactly how it works for your home.

Every renovation has a natural order, and most of the stress in a project comes from skipping it. Sometimes clients come to us after picking a sofa before the layout is even set. This is the order we walk every client through, from the first conversation to the final install. Swipe through it, and save it for when you start planning your own project.

The question we get more than any other: "How does this actually work if I don't have time to manage it?"

Here's how it goes. We start with concept and space planning together, so the direction is set before anything is bought. We source and procure everything through trade vendors. You approve; we handle the ordering. We run construction administration and site oversight, including shipping, and ocean freight and customs if your project is in Jamaica. Then comes installation day, and you walk into a home that's finished. You get a home that's done and feels like you, without living through the stress of getting there. It starts with a discovery call.

Discovery calls are open. DM me to book yours.

A husband and wife came to us at a moment when life was beginning to change.

She was transitioning to using a wheelchair full time, while her husband is 6 feet tall. They needed one primary suite that could support both of them—and they were very clear about one thing: it could not feel like a hospital.

We widened doorways and circulation paths, designed a roll-under vanity, and created a curbless shower with a built-in bench and thoughtfully integrated grab bars. Every detail was designed to support her independence while still giving them a space that felt elegant, calm, and personal.

The Rathbun Residence later received an award for Universal and ADA Design from AARP and NAHB, but what has always meant the most to us is what the project represents.

Good design is not only about how a space looks. It is about how beautifully it supports the people who live there.

Accessible and beautiful were never meant to be two different things.

I was 22, standing at a bus stop in LA, when I ran into an old neighbor I hadn't seen in years. She was carrying a huge portfolio. I asked what she'd been up to. She said she was studying interior design at Woodbury and opened it up to show me her work.

Something clicked. I remember thinking, this is what I want to do with my life. I applied that week. More than 30 years later, I'm still designing.

I built Interior Design Details for the client who doesn't have time to manage a renovation on top of everything else they're carrying. You tell me what you want your life to feel like in this space, and my husband Dwayne and I handle the rest, concept, sourcing, procurement, every trade, every detail, start to finish.

My clients don't want another project to manage. They want the whole thing off their plate, and a home at the end of it that actually feels like them.

Feeling grateful ✨
There’s nothing better than seeing our clients live in the homes we design.
Here’s what they shared after settling into their new Negril villa:

“The house is amazing… we loved watching family, sunsets, sunrises and the ocean dance. Absolutely Heaven!”
