My art students and I spent 5 days in New Mexico, Santa Fe, Abiquiu, and Taos getting inspired by all the beauty . We went as artists and came back friends . We laughed. We prayed. We sang. This week’s featured painting is named “French Garden” . This was started en plein air in Treva’s French style home in Christoval and finished in my studio . She and I experimented with the background adding just enough lavender to the blue to make it the French blue seen on her front door as well as the French blue seen on many doors and shutters in southern France .
