Custom cedar chest that I just finished.

This is a piece that once sat in the historical museum. The customer had bought it at an auction several years ago but had all but forgotten it until my husband spotted it while picking up some other items. He asked about it and if he could try to fix what was broken. When we started reall looking at it, it was in very bad shape but only on the front portion of the seat. From slightly behind the front edge of the cushion, the wood had broken off. There was glue stuck all over it and very large splinters of wood were missing. that created gaps where it had broken off. The thin tin that was under the padding was very flimsy and coming loose to the point of dropping someone if it was sat in. It took a lot more effort and imagination than we had originally expected but this is the end result. It looks as good as the day it was made and it is even more sturdy! I am very happy with it!

This is an old farm table we restored. This antique farm table had been in an attic for many years. The glue that held the tabletop planks together had come loose and it was starting to warp. The bottom needed a little bit of refreshing. It had belonged to my customers mother and he wanted to bring it back to life so he could use it in his own home. It turned out beautifully!

Coffee table made from reclaimed wormwood. It was from a father to son. The handwriting on the top is actually handwritten by the father. It says “I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.” You May notice that the apostrophe is the shape of the moon. When the son was growing up the saying “I love you to the moon and back” was passed throughout the generations from great-grandmother to great-grandson.
