Sooo much food, nothing beats D.O.G nites, friends, family and food. We had salads, watermelon, rhubarb dessert, it was ALL GREAT!!!!!!!

Are we ready to Dutch Oven Cook?

Our first outing will be May 31st at Ulvan Park at Clear Lake, SD; we usually head out around 4 to start fire and then plan to eat around 6 p.m. or so.

This park has camping sites with electric and sewer hookup and a boat dock; it's a wonderful park to spend the weekend. First come first serve spaces.

Plan a dish to cook or bring one to pass and join us. Bring lawn chairs, beverages and anything else you may need. We do a lot of cooking and visiting.

If you have questions please ask, it's all about the fun.

We are willing to share our knowledge, if you are new. Carey Holt is a retired Cub Scout Leader and him and Kim are both, Great! I just like to cook and bring years of DO cooking to the team, if we are lucky Kobus my son in law comes and cooks South African dishes for us.

We have many people who come when they can and that's wonderful, no commitment here. Life is CRAZY!!!

Another successful DO cookout with the Holts, a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs that was Chesney approved & a big pot of chili also a cherry cake dessert we had lots of leftovers this time, this is wraps for 2024.

WHAT: DUTCH OVEN SUPPER
WHEN: OCT 12th, start cooking at 3-plan to eat at 5:30 or so.
WERE: LAKE PARK SHELTER ULVIN PARK, CLEAR LAKE
Bring a dish to pass, or cook and pass, serving utensils, lawn chairs, your favorite beverage and lets have a nice fall cook out. The company is always good and nobody leaves hungry.😀

What have we been cooking you ask? Lets see, Carey is famous for his Mountain Man casserole breakfast, I made a roasted chicken over potatoes and carrots, & a peach cobbler, then we had a potato hamburger casserole one nite, then Kim made a great beef stew recipe, and I made a croissant apple caramel dessert. It was chilly that nite we all but licked those pots clean.😋 We are quite proud we haven't had a burnt dessert yet this year. LOL

We are having a Fall Dutch Oven event, on October 12th, more details to follow.

We are very excited to get this going again, and hopefully go back to something regular in 2025.

The Holts and us have been camping this fall and absolutely loving it and we are eating good in the neighborhood from Dutch Oven cooking.

How this works is you bring a dish to pass or cook, your own plates, utensils and beverage. We will have a fire built and we all are cooking and having a good time, and we eat.
