This is our largest framing project to date, at 56 x 35 inches. The map was laminated and already protected so we did not use glass. Plus the glass would have made this piece extremely heavy. The wood frame draws out the beautiful brown hues of the map.

This is a stained glass piece characterizing one of my Rhodesian Ridgebacks. It took me a while to do. I also had to break out a few pieces of glass and replace them. An interesting project to say the least. This piece is 17 x 13 inches.

A smaller papyrus grass piece depicting the goddess Isis. The beautiful color in the print made it easy to find the perfect mat. Again, a simple black frame is all this piece needed.

T'is the season for papyrus grass prints. We just finished a couple of more. This very large piece belonged to the client's uncle. He bought it in Egypt over 40 years ago. It was rolled up all this time. Again, with these pieces with a lot of color and action in the artwork, it is best to go simple with the frame and mat.

These are beautiful, very unique 3-D cards the client wanted framed. The mats and frames were chosen to bring out the colors of each piece.

These homemade framed prints are of the Civil War and Post-Civil War eras. The client found these on the floor of his grandmother's basement before it was scheduled to be torn down. The prints are severely weathered with much foxing and the telltale ravages of mice. However, these held significant sentimental value to the client and did not want them replaced.
The very old homemade frames are quite unique. We had to entirely rebuild the rabbet where the print and glass are secured. We did light restoration on the frame face, without losing the patina which shows its age. A great project.

Another nicely stitched needlepoint. The mat and frame make the stitch work pop.

A new experience for us. This is an oil on tar paper. Yes! Tar paper! It is a vibrant, beautiful piece. The frame is a 1 3/4-inch red distressed wood with gold accents that wonderfully outlines the painting without distracting from the magnificent colors. We love working on unique projects.

These are a pair of cross stitched pieces that commemorate the birth of the client's grandchildren. We blocked the cross stitch, and matted and framed it using whimsical bright colors. We did a good job matching the frame to an existing framed cross stitch piece done for the mother (client's daughter) documenting two generations of births.

Beautiful cross stitched Iris. The client brought in a frame in the hopes that we could use it. It proved a little challenging given the depth of the frame and its size but the end result is a vivid piece of artwork.
