Sometimes the sweetest little projects end up meaning more than you expected. 💛

I just finished this crochet Jesus doll, and honestly… I love him more than I thought I would. There’s something about holding a handmade reminder of the story of Jesus that makes it feel a little more tangible, especially for kids.

This Easter season I’m using him with my own kiddos to do what we’re calling our “Jesus Journey.” Each day we’ll talk about a different moment from the life of Jesus leading up to Easter—His love for people, the miracles, the cross, and the empty tomb. Instead of it just being a story they hear, they get to see and hold a reminder of the One it’s all about.

Kids learn through touch, play, and imagination. And sometimes faith grows best in those small, ordinary moments… sitting on the couch, holding a little crocheted Jesus, talking about the greatest story ever told.

Handmade things carry a little bit of heart in every stitch, and this one carries a message that matters most. ✨

Archie Lee Beanies. Archie Lee passed at daycare at only 7 months old and his parents have created the Archie Lee Foundation in his memory. I’ve been creating these teddy beanies—and simple, classic beanies as well—in support of the Archie Lee Foundation; they provide care packages for families in the PICU and breathing monitors for daycares caring for infants.

Before Archie was born, I spent a few weeks crocheting a teddy bear granny square blanket just for him. Making something by hand has always been my favorite way to love people. His sweet mama included that blanket in his monthly photos, and every stitch suddenly felt sacred—work that mattered in ways I couldn’t have known at the time.

I’d give just about anything to make Archie his own beanie, so instead, I’m making them for as many people as I can.

Archie left a permanent mark on my heart as an aunt, and I want his legacy to be carried far and wide. The ache I feel, and the ache his family carries, will never fully fade—but neither will the love. I’m grateful to share his name and honor the impact he had on everyone who knew him.
