Barb Brimhall, The BZBStamper

Barb Brimhall, The BZBStamper Hi! I help busy women find relaxing me time by creating quick & easy handmade cards, gifts & more. products. But ultimately? It’s true! Still don’t. Let’s face it.

My name is Barb Brimhall and I have been a Creative Coach since 1996. I live in Vancouver, Washington (affectionately known as “the other Vancouver”) which is right across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. Primarily, I teach cardmaking & memory keeping using Stampin’ Up! I help busy women get in touch with their creative self so that they can relax and make something that means something.

Did you know that stamping can make you feel good about yourself? When I first started stamping in 1995, I had never had a hobby (didn’t have time) and certainly didn’t feel like I had an artistic bone in my body. In fact, my family won’t play Pictionary with me unless I have a stamp in my hand! But the first time I picked up a rubber stamp, inked it up, and slammed it onto the paper (I’ve since learned to be gentle) something magical happened. I could create a piece of “art” that didn’t look like a 3 year old had made it. I could create something with my own two hands that I could then turn around and give to someone else. And it would make them smile and let them know that I thought they were special. That I was thinking about them. I took the time to give them something from my heART. And it made me feel great! Move over store-bought cards – MY cards are handmade with love! Life can be stressful sometimes. Let me show you how picking up a stamp and tapping it onto a piece of cardstock can make life less stressful. And more beautiful. Stamping — it’s cheaper than therapy. Let me help you stamp out some stress today!

Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight make one HAPPY color combination! 🎉 These bright, cheerful colors have plenty of energy, making them perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or any card that needs a little extra fun.

I especially love how the bold pink pulls the sunny yellow and warm orange together.

I've made 3 all-occasion cards featuring the Radiant Sunflower Bundle. This video features a Busy Bee card for new or busy stampers, a slightly stepped up version for the Worker Bee who likes to take a bit more time in her crafting, and the Queen Bee card for those that like to spend a bit more time to create a beautifully detailed card! Enjoy!

Okay, Christmas card confession time...

Which part of Christmas cards makes you want to say, “WHY do I do this to myself every year?” 😂

A. Deciding what to make
B. Finding time to make them
C. Figuring out who I'm sending them to
D. Getting the darn things addressed and MAILED!

Or is there something else that gets you every year?

This simple card shows how easy it is to design a card around some pretty Designer Paper.

I pulled the colors straight from the paper, added a simple sentiment, highlighted with a butterfly, and bam - perfect card for any gender or occasion.

I really like how simple this card is. Sometimes you don’t need a lot of layers or fancy techniques to make a card that feels special.

Three bright leaves, a simple “Thinking of you often” message, and you’ve got a card that could mean an awful lot to someone who needs to know they’re on your mind.

And THAT is why we make the cards. The card is the vehicle. The connection is what matters.
