dahlia share | week one

there is nothing like dahlias blooming in their time. it’s been WORK to grow them on the bigger farm. last year, someone who digs found them during a time of drought and I’m assuming, ate them. rough stuff, for me, not the well fed critter. as it goes.

growing them is a labor of love.

dahlias require disbudding which is a process that involves cutting off excess buds so the plant focuses their energy on making one marvelous bloom per stem.

in this way, I am reminded to focus my energies too 💗
