Mintwood Home At Mintwood Home we believe a well-decorated life is always a work in progress.

Founder, Heloise McKee believes that being comfortable in your home is essential to being happy. While studying education in graduate school, The Washington Post approached her about doing a story on her rental basement apartment, which she transformed into a beautiful, budget-friendly retreat. Soon after the story ran she traded in her chalkboard for a job working with a top DC design firm. While

Heloise loved interior design, she ultimately found it too exclusive and cost prohibitive for young professionals. Particularly frustrated with buying custom pillows—trade-only fabrics, high prices and long lead times—she set out to simplify the process and make great design more accessible. Mintwood Home has grown over the past three years, and now we offer furniture, rugs, wallpaper, nursery items and much more.
