Some homes are defined by their finishes.

This one is defined by its architecture.

We called this Vibe Label The Turning Room because every space seems to unfold into the next. Curved walls soften the transitions. Bowed windows pull in light from every angle. The turret becomes more than a landmark, it becomes the rhythm that carries you through the home.

Our staging wasn’t about competing with those details.

It was about listening to them.

Warm oak, olive, cream, leather, and graphite appear only where they strengthen the architecture, allowing the curves, light, and craftsmanship to remain the story.

That’s what a Vibe Label is.

Not a design style.

A way of understanding what makes a home unlike any other, then telling that story before a buyer ever walks through the front door.

Because people remember homes that make them feel something.

Most operations roles ask if you can stay organized.

We’re more interested in why you care about getting the details right.

At Alder & Ash Interiors, beautiful spaces are only half of what our clients remember. The other half is how they felt throughout the experience.

That’s why we’re looking for an Operations & Client Experience Coordinator.

Someone who notices what needs doing before anyone asks.

Someone who believes that thoughtful systems create exceptional experiences.

Someone who enjoys bringing order to moving parts while helping build a company that’s still early enough for every person to leave their mark.

This is a professional four-day-per-week role based in the Washington, DC metro area.

• 28 to 30+ hours per week
• Monday through Thursday schedule
• $30/hour
• Work directly with our founders as we continue building something meaningful.

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear your story.

Send your resume and a short introduction to [email protected], or apply through LinkedIn.

Some results are measured in days. Others are measured in dollars. The best ones tell both stories.

For 5109 Chevy Chase Parkway, thoughtful staging helped reveal what was already there: a timeless home with quiet confidence, generous light, and spaces designed to be lived in.

The result:
• Sold in 6 days
• $110,000 over asking
• A 15x return on the staging investment

At Alder & Ash, we don’t simply furnish empty rooms. We build a narrative buyers can imagine themselves stepping into.
Because when buyers connect emotionally, the market often responds.

Congratulations to Joan Riseden Cromwell with TTR Sotheby's International Realty and everyone involved in another exceptional sale.

Some homes ask you to slow down.

This one asks you to settle into a rhythm.

We called this Vibe Label The Parallel Hours because the house feels designed for two lives unfolding at once. Mornings begin with coffee at the island before work. Evenings gather around the piano. Formal spaces welcome guests, while the kitchen, studies, and upstairs quietly support everything that happens in between.

Our staging wasn’t about filling large rooms.

It was about creating continuity.

A restrained palette of ivory, walnut, black, and warm neutrals moves from room to room without interruption. The grand piano becomes the emotional center, while every other piece is chosen to support the home’s sense of balance, never compete with it.

That’s what a Vibe Label is.

Not a decorating style.

A way of discovering the rhythm that already exists within a home, then making it unmistakable to every buyer who walks through the door.

Because people don’t just remember beautiful homes.

They remember homes that feel like a life they want to live.

Some homes ask for attention.

Others earn it quietly.

For this AU Park home, we kept coming back to one idea: The Long Game.

Nothing competes for attention. Every room feels intentional. The architecture speaks first. The furnishings simply support it.

That’s the philosophy behind every Alder & Ash Vibe Label.
We don’t just stage a property. We try to understand the life it promises, then build a visual story that helps buyers imagine themselves living it.

Because people rarely fall in love with square footage.

They fall in love with the feeling of coming home.

Swipe through to see how we translated that feeling into a story.

We didn’t take home the award this year, but being named a Top 10 Rising Star Vacant Staging Company in the U.S. is an honor we’re incredibly grateful for.

What’s most meaningful is that Alder & Ash has only been our full-time focus since February. To be recognized alongside some of the best in our industry this early is something we don’t take for granted.

This recognition belongs to our team, our clients who trusted us with their homes, and our real estate partners who continue to believe in us.

More than anything, this week reminded us that there is always more to learn. We’re leaving RESA inspired, grateful, and excited for what’s ahead.

Below is a part of our journey that deserves to be remembered.

A photo that still makes me laugh—Dudley and I in the RH showroom having a very serious conversation about whether starting this business (and the financial risk that came with it) was the right decision.

Also included is a photo from one of our very first stagings. It’s a reminder of how every journey starts small.

August is officially open.

If you’re preparing to bring a home to market, now is the time to start the conversation.

Every project begins with a site visit, where we learn the architecture, the buyer, and the story your home is ready to tell. From there, we curate a staging plan designed to highlight what makes the property unforgettable.

Whether you’re listing a Georgetown rowhome, a Chevy Chase colonial, or a modern condo, our goal is always the same:

Create a space buyers connect with the moment they walk through the door.

Our August calendar is now booking site visits and staging installations throughout Washington, DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

We’d love to help tell your listing’s story.

Every beautifully staged home begins long before the furniture arrives.

It starts with people.

The designers who shape the vision. The warehouse team that prepares every piece. The movers who treat each home with care. The hands that lift, style, adjust, and perfect every detail until the space feels effortless.

This is the team behind Alder & Ash Interiors.

We’re grateful for the talent, professionalism, and pride each person brings to every project. Our clients may only see the finished rooms, but they’re built by a group of people who genuinely care about getting it right.

Here’s to the team behind the story.

Every home has its own rhythm.

For this beautifully updated rowhome in Olde Towne Gaithersburg, we imagined a household that moves with purpose, but never feels rushed.

Vibe Label // The Buoyant Household.

Mornings begin around the navy island before everyone heads in a different direction. A chess match waits to be finished. The home office shifts from engineering plans to quiet moments between hospital shifts. Evenings bring everyone back together, where warmth replaces the pace of the day.

That’s the idea behind our Vibe Labels.

We don’t simply stage rooms. We create a narrative that helps buyers imagine a life already unfolding there, because people connect with stories long before they connect with furniture.

Two days on market.
$85,000 over asking.

Those numbers tell you what happened. They don’t tell you why.

For this remarkable Chevy Chase home, we created a Vibe Label we called The Unhurried Classicist.

Rather than filling every room, we listened to the architecture that was already there. The original home and the modern addition each had their own voice. Our role was to help them speak the same language.

Every decision, from the antique tapestry above the fireplace to the restrained home office and sculptural dining room, was made to reinforce a single story. One that buyers could feel before they could explain it.

The result?
A home that sold in just 2 days, for $85,000 over asking, returning 12 times the staging investment.

Because staging isn’t about making a house look beautiful.

It’s about making it feel unforgettable.

Created in partnership with Joan Riseden Cromwell to tell this home’s story.
