This Modica®️ Espresso Martini mix just landed and it makes a seriously good cocktail with almost no effort. Real cold brewed arabica coffee, zero artificial junk, and a recipe simple enough for a Tuesday night.

1 part Modica + 1 part vodka, shake, pour over ice. Done. Or keep it alcohol-free and mix it with water or milk for a coffee mocktail that’s just as good.

One bottle makes 10 drinks, so it’s basically built for hosting (or a really good Tuesday, no judgment).

A little update on what we’ve been up to:

We didn’t close. We didn’t disappear. We just got busy curating something bigger. 🌾

Prairie Coast Candle Co. is becoming part of something new, Prairie Coast Mercantile. Same heart, same location in Waterloo, just… more of it.

Candle bar? Still here. Refillery? Expanding. Workshops? Evolving (hello, herbalism era 🌿). Plus local goods, home fragrance, dry pantry, fresh juice, sourdough, and more, all from local small businesses we love.

This was never about building a store. It’s about building a place this community can gather in! 🫶🏼

Our shop is growing. 🌿

We’re building out the Mercantile at Prairie Coast, a curated section of goods for the way you live at home.

Think local sourdough from .co , cold brew, honey, spices, coffee & tea for your dry pantry.

We have stoneware, pottery, kitchen wares and new apothecary goods on the way.

We’re putting the finishing touches on this section of the shop and can’t wait to show you. We’ll share as soon as it’s ready, and we may just have to celebrate with an event. 👀

So last week I officially started my herbalism training and I’m really excited about it!🌿

I’m heading into 800 hours (it will take me awhile) of training to become a registered herbalist (RH), and honestly it just makes sense for us. My skin and gut have always been sensitive, my kids are the same way, and I’ve always been someone who gravitates toward natural things, in how I live, how I parent, and in my spirituality too.

The whole goal is to create products and put together workshops so I can share what I’m learning with you all. Stuff you can actually use at home for your family.

More to come! I just wanted to share where things are headed! 🍃
