Book Club, it’s time for our next read! 📖🕯️

Book No. 03 is officially here, and we’re reading The Witch by Freida McFadden! 🧙🏻‍♀️

If you’ve been thinking about joining the Prairie Coast Book Club, consider this your invitation.
Every two months, we send a new book straight to your door, paired with an exclusive Prairie Coast candle inspired by the story. We read at our own pace, chat about our latest reads, and get together to discuss all the things that happened between the pages.

And the best part? You don’t have to be local to join us! 🤎
For our local readers, we will gather at Book Club Society for our book club meetups, where we can get together, chat about our latest read, and enjoy a little time with fellow book lovers.

Not local? You’re still invited! Join us virtually over Zoom, or simply follow along and chat in our private Book Club app.

Introducing Prairie Coast Wellness Studio 🌿
A space to gather, move + create.

Today marks our last day open as Prairie Coast Mercantile, but we have a little more planned for this space.

While we continue looking for another business to take over our lease, we’re transforming the storefront into a welcoming place for wellness, creativity and gathering.

Think yoga, meditation, herbal workshops, art classes, and small gatherings. We’ll be making the space available to local instructors, wellness professionals, makers, and businesses who want to host their own experiences. I’ll also be hosting one Prairie Coast botanical workshop each month!

Prairie Coast will continue online, with our handmade products, wholesale orders, and local markets here and there. The studio is another way for us to keep creating and connecting with this community while we’re still here.

Thank you to everyone who supported the Mercantile. Every purchase, workshop, share, and visit meant so much to our family. We’re excited to welcome you back in a new way. 🤍

One last weekend. 🤍

This is the last weekend Prairie Coast Mercantile will be open to the public, and we’d love to see you before we close our doors.

We’ll be open Thursday, Friday + Saturday, 11–4
23907 Southwest St. • Suite 5 • Waterloo

There’s still plenty left, including:
• 30% off all Prairie Coast items
• 50% off all Mercantile items
• Decor, displays, fixtures + furniture for sale
• Everything is available while supplies last

Our website is always open, too, with local pickup and shipping available.

And while the Mercantile is closing, Prairie Coast is not going anywhere. We’ll continue creating and selling online, producing wholesale orders, and popping up at local markets and events here and there. We also have a few special events planned throughout the year while we look for the right business to take over the space.

Eventually, we’ll be taking Prairie Coast with us as we make our way to the East Coast, but for now, we’re really looking forward to this next chapter and all the ways Prairie Coast can continue to grow.

Thank you, truly, to everyone who has supported us, stopped in, made a purchase, shared a post, brought a friend, or simply cheered us on. We’re so grateful you’ve been part of this little chapter.

Our approximately 1,500-square-foot space is available for sublease, and we’re flexible on rent and terms. If cost has been holding you back, reach out, we’re happy to talk through options!

A shorter commitment gives you the chance to bring an idea to life, test a new concept, or grow your existing business. The current lease runs through November 2027.

The space includes:

• Approximately 1,500 square feet
• A large glass garage door across the front
• An open, flexible floor plan
• A finished retail space ready to make your own

Along with the products you love, we’ll be selling store furniture, shelves, displays, and other fixtures. If you’ve had your eye on something in the shop, this is your chance to take a piece of the Mercantile home with you.
