This is an antique shotgun shell reloading / shot dispensing cabinet from early 1900’s. The row of metal lever dispensers would meter or dispense lead shot, likely with separate compartments for different shot sizes. The holes across the top are for reloading.

Been working on stripping the newly acquired cabinet and decided to give the oak handles a much needed Jasco stripper bath. Worked perfectly! Much easier than sanding down all 20 of them..

Quickly applying stain to the 5 Drawer Card Catalog. We let it sit for a bit longer then normal to allow the stain to pe*****te the wood fibers a bit deeper. Once we wiped it off, it wasn’t as dark as we hoped but, fortunately with our signature industrial farmhouse style if something doesn’t turn out like we anticipated it doesn’t ruin a project. We just adapt and find a new way to make it look 🥰…

This 20-drawer cabinet is getting ready for its next chapter. What started as a well-loved, utilitarian piece is about to become something completely different — with plenty of character, texture and that old-school charm we love.

We’re documenting the process from before ➡️ after, because sometimes the best pieces are the ones that just need a little vision.
