I grew up counting down the days till I could go to the city to visit. I was thrilled when she moved to Williamsburg when my uncle retired. And now with her in Newtown afternoons in town are a treat!

My Aunt Aggie has had such an influence over my love of fashion and decorating. Our trips to the city staying in Manhattan were always a great time. She taught me how to sew. She taught me how to cross stitch and the first bows I ever made were from ribbon she bought at the Williamsburg Pottery.

We designed and decorated my consignment shop Twice as Nice. Aunt Aggie made all the curtains for my fitting rooms the skirts for the pedestal sinks, and the slip cover for the bench in front of the shoe wall. She has an incredible eye with fabrics and putting things together. When we are looking at furniture and talking about where it would go and how to style it she completely gets me.

Today we looked over a quilt that had won her a prize at the New Jersey State fair. We looked at a beautiful Afghan she had made. Cream with beautiful grapes crouched through it.

She laughed as we looked at pictures of my recent bows and wreaths saying she thinks I get it from her. If you know her you would agree Aunt Aggie was something, even before Martha Stewart. She will be 95 this December. Aunt Aggie is a good thing♥️

Starting to get autumn door looks for customers. The kids go back to school next week and this is when I begin to decorate our home and before you know it we will have pumpkins EVERYWHERE!

Check out these three different looks for doors and let me know what you think. I love them all for different reasons.

The door hanger from Mid Mod Design, LLC is my absolute favorite from the company, I personally have it on my front door now. I love the design. I love the colors and of course it’s my late summer, early fall look and it’s perfect! (This door hanger is 26ish inches long.)

The mossy natural wreath with the thin ribbon bow is a fantastic look. It is more on the muted side with natural textures and dimensional pieces. It would be gorgeous with a monochromatic pumpkin package. This wreath is about 20 inches wide.

The magnolia leaf wreath with the pheasant bow is a showstopper look. The magnolia leaf wreath is stunning in person and it measures over 26 inches wide. I feel like that gives a very grand look for any front door. (After putting on my readers I realized the ribbon does not have pheasants on it. It’s corn🤓.)

This is what I love about ribbon and mixing it to complement pieces. There are so many possibilities and this is one of my favorite parts of each season.

I’m Laura the owner of BBBL. And some of you are new here so I wanted to reintroduce myself. I live in Williamsburg, Virginia with my husband Waverly and my chocolate lab Tripp.

After an almost 20 year career in retail, I left the industry to work from home and during Covid I started selling my bows to neighbors in my community. More and more people were ordering my bows and a few years ago, I started my company.

I have a love for styling spaces and creating beautiful things. I gravitate to ordinary things and find ways to style them and reinvent them.

My bows evolved into finding pieces to compliment them. I now sell beautiful door hangers and wreaths. I have added porch styling to my services as well as some other seasonal things.

I hope that you follow along because every day is an adventure. I will continue to share any wonderful things I find whether they are local or on the Internet. I’m grateful for you all. I am blessed to have my business and I am super excited about all things to come this fall!
