I’m heading to Italy! 🇮🇹🤍

I’ll be out of the studio for a bit, exploring, eating all the good food, and hopefully finding a little time to pull out my watercolors and paint along the way!

A whole week of sunshine, salty air, sandy toes, and hunting for treasures with my favorite shelling buddy. 🐚🌊

We spent the week making our way along Florida’s Gulf Coast, shark tooth hunting at Venice Beach, shelling at Lido Key, Anna Maria Island, Shell Key, Pass-a-Grille, Manatee Beach, Siesta Key, and St. Pete Beach. Lots of miles walked, lots of beaches explored, and SO many treasures found along the way.

There’s just something about walking the shoreline and getting way too excited every time one of us spots a good shell. And it’s even better when I get to do it with my favorite shelling buddy.

Safe to say I came home with a few shells… okay, maybe a LOT. 😂🐚

The best kind of week, the best memories, and the best souvenirs. Now to clean, sort, and figure out what to create with all of our Florida treasures!

Pro Tip- snackle boxes make the best transport boxes!

Shell Art is here!

I’ve been holding onto this idea for a while, and I’m so excited to finally bring it to life! 😊

I’ve always loved the natural beauty of shells, the colors, textures, imperfections, and the fact that no two are ever exactly alike.

Every shell used in these pieces was found by me or a family member while beachcombing up and down the East Coast. Each one is cleaned and its natural shine brought back with mineral oil before being arranged by hand.

Each design combines natural shells and other beach treasures, so every piece is completely one of a kind. A simple way to bring a little piece of the coast to a shelf, nightstand, gallery wall, or favorite spot in your home.

The first collection includes 5x7 framed pieces, with more designs to come!
