🎃🧙‍♀️ A Little Halloween Magic from the Memories! 🧙‍♀️🎃

This fun Halloween quilt popped up in my memories this morning, and I just had to share it! 💜

This whimsical witch is made from the Posh Pocus pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful. With her big black witch’s hat, bright yellow buckle, green face, flowing white hair, and that mischievous little smile, she definitely has some personality! 👻

I love all the little details—the spider and web in the corner, the quilting in her hat, the swirls throughout her hair, and the texture added to her face. The rich purple background really makes this spooky gal stand out!

A little Halloween fun, a little quilting magic, and a whole lot of personality! 🕷️🎃💜

🍂 A Perfect Quilt for the Season! 🍂

Summer is winding down, and we’re starting to see those first hints of Fall—and this beautiful quilt by Jackie fits the season perfectly! ❤️🍁

The rich mix of burgundy, gold, brown, cream, and deep blue creates such a warm, cozy feeling. With its scrappy design and layers of color and texture, there’s something new to discover in every section.

For the quilting, we chose Forest Walk from My Creative Stitches, a beautiful design that complements the quilt perfectly and adds just the right touch of movement.

🌸💚 A Vision Come to Life! 💚🌸

This quilt started with a beautiful panel, and Pam had a vision for how she wanted it finished. From there, we added free-motion quilting, simply following the natural flow of all those gorgeous swirls in the design.

I used two different variegated threads—one to complement the beautiful pinks and another to blend with the greens. The quilting follows the movement of the panel and adds texture without taking away from the artwork.

And the best part? It turned out just like Pam had envisioned! 💕✨

I love when the quilting and the quilt top come together to create exactly what the customer had in mind.

🌈 From Frame to Finish! 🧵✨

This colorful quilt is making its journey from frame to finish here at Mimi’s Quilting Cottage! 💕

With its fun mix of bright blues, turquoise, sunny yellow, vibrant reds, and beautiful multicolored prints, this quilt has so much movement and personality. The interlocking blocks create a playful, almost puzzle-like design that really lets all those gorgeous fabrics shine.

For the quilting, we chose Baptist Fan with Flowers by My Creative Stitches. 🌸 The soft curves of the Baptist Fan, combined with the delicate flowers, add just the right touch of texture without taking away from the bold colors and busy piecing.

🎄✨ Getting a Head Start on Christmas! ✨🎄

The first Christmas quilt of the season has been quilted! ❤️💚

I love the classic combination of red, green, and Christmas plaid, with the beautiful Christmas tree taking center stage. The quilting design adds even more holiday charm with Christmas trees, stars, and swirls throughout. A pattern from Intelligent Quilting.

It may still be August, but here at Mimi’s Quilting Cottage, we know Christmas quilts take a little time to get ready! 🎅🎄

🌟 A Little Safari Adventure! 🦓🐾

This quilt is full of rich, warm colors, bold stars, and beautiful movement—and the perfect quilting pattern to bring it all together was African Safari! 🦁🌿

The flowing design adds wonderful texture without competing with the fun piecing and those gorgeous star blocks. The quilting really helps bring out all the earthy oranges, golds, greens, purples, and browns.

Another quilt off the longarm and ready to be loved! ❤️

🏀 Nothing but net! 🏀

This quilt is a slam dunk! 🏀💙 A fun collection of basketballs takes center stage, framed with cool teal and navy accents that really make those basketball blocks pop.

I have a feeling there’s one very happy young basketball player who is going to be pretty excited to snuggle up under this quilt! ❤️🏀

A quilt made with a whole lot of love—and the perfect gift for someone who loves the game!

This 3-Yard Quilt by Fabric Café is such a fun combination of soft vintage prints, leafy green, and black! 💚🖤

The fabrics really let the quilt design shine, and the Forest Walk quilting pattern from My Creative Stitches adds beautiful movement throughout the quilt. The swirling leaves and organic curves complement the nature-inspired colors perfectly.

Another quilt ready to be loved and enjoyed! 🧵✨

Nancy brought me this beautiful quilt top made from a panel, with three coordinating fabrics for the borders. She wasn’t quite sure how she wanted it quilted—she originally thought she wanted just the states outlined.

So, that’s where we started! I outlined the states and then decided to have a little fun with the background quilting. 🇺🇸❤️💙 I divided the background into four quadrants, giving each section its own design:

✨ Top left: Snapdragon Mardi Gras — My Creative Stitches
✨ Top right: Modern Meander — Urban Elementz
✨ Bottom right: Hawthorne — My Creative Stitches
✨ Bottom left: Baptist Fan

For the borders, I outlined the stars in the innermost border, left the second border unquilted, and finished the outside border with a beautiful floral design.

The result is a quilt full of detail, texture, and personality—and best of all, Nancy loved it! ❤️🤍💙

It’s always fun when a customer gives me a little creative freedom and lets me play with the quilting!

🌙🐺 Stay Wild! ⭐

This quilt is full of personality and a little bit of wild spirit! The beautiful wolf takes center stage, surrounded by stars, a crescent moon, arrows, and little trees. The combination of gray, black, white and pops of mustard yellow gives this quilt a modern, outdoorsy feel.

I love all the details, especially the “stay wild” message and the variety of fabrics used throughout the appliqué. The bold black-and-white borders frame the center beautifully and really make the design stand out.

For the quilting, we chose Primitive Stars, which was such a perfect fit! The stars flowing across the quilt add wonderful texture while carrying that nighttime, adventurous theme throughout the entire quilt.

A beautiful quilt for anyone who loves the outdoors and has a little wild spirit in their heart. 🐺❤️
