Thinking of my sweet grandma today. She always encouraged my love for sewing, and because of her, I made my very first memory item — a horse for my mom. I had no idea how much that one piece would shape my life. Since then, my small memory business has grown in ways I never imagined: partnering with boutiques across Northeast Ohio, appearing on New Day Cleveland, being featured in the News-Herald and other publications, sharing my story on News Channel 5, and being a Best of the East finalist for handmade vendor three years running through Cleveland Magazine. Every stitch brings me back to her. Creating this piece from her clothing feels like keeping a part of her love close. Miss you always, Grandma. 🌼

With only 2.5 weeks left until Christmas, I am no longer able to take custom orders for the holiday. With the wave of last-minute orders and messages—and being a one-woman show—I simply can’t take on any more at this time.

I truly appreciate every single person who has placed an order this holiday season. Your support means the world to me! ❤️🎄

✨ Hi friends, it’s been a while since I’ve posted! ✨

Life looks a little different these days as I’m now working full-time, which hasn’t left me much space to create like I used to. That said, I still absolutely love making memory stuffies and keepsakes for you and your loved ones — it just isn’t my main focus at this time.

If you’d like to have something made, you can still drop items off at The Helicopter Daughter (be sure to check out her new location! 🥰). Just please keep in mind that turnaround will take a little longer than before.

These sweet dogs and ornaments were just finished for a dear friend who recently lost her dad, and they were such a special project to work on. 💕

Thank you all for your patience and continued support — it means so much to me!

🦈✨ Shark Week Throwback! ✨🦈
Remember this jawsome little guy? My Shark Gnome was ready to chomp his way into your heart—one bite at a time! 😂🧙‍♂️🦈

I don’t have him in stock anymore, but he’s still making waves in my memories. Perfect excuse to resurface him for Shark Week fun!

Stay weird. Stay whimsical. And watch your toes this week. 🐾😉

I had so much fun making this little garden bat for a new friend I’ve gotten to know really well at my new(ish) job. It was her birthday, and I couldn’t think of a better reason to get crafty! She’s so kind, so much fun, and has made work feel a whole lot brighter.

Happy birthday to someone truly wonderful — and thanks for letting me hide in the kitchen when I need a minute! 🦇🌿🎉

So about last night…
My third Best of the East with Cleveland Magazine and honestly? It might just be my favorite one yet!
Crazy to think I was on the fence about doing it this year, but saying YES turned out to be the best decision. The energy, the people, the small businesses, the comradery (real community vibes!), and just the overall love in the room… absolutely unmatched.

Even the event staff went above and beyond — seriously, shoutout to them for being so helpful, kind, and just all-around rockstars. They made everything run smooth and kept the good vibes flowing all night.

From everyone helping each other set up and tear down, to the nonstop compliments (keep ’em coming!), it was a night that reminded me exactly why I love doing what I do.

I finally nailed my setup this year — and instead of stressing, I just had FUN.
This event isn’t about winning or losing. It’s about showing up, showing off, and showing love. And last night? That was on FULL display.

Already counting down to the next one. If you weren’t there… hate to say it, but you seriously missed out.

It’s been a little quiet on here lately—life’s been full of transition as I settle into a new job and start reconnecting with the little joys that make life sweet.

That’s why tomorrow feels extra special. I’m honored to be part of Best of the East event for the third year in a row. Being nominated during one of the busiest, most overwhelming seasons of my life meant so much back then—but now, with a clearer head and a full heart, I’m even more grateful.

I’m excited to celebrate alongside so many incredible local businesses and creatives who make this community so vibrant—including the amazing

While it’s not about winning, it would be pretty amazing to take it home this year.

Voting is open tomorrow from 6pm to midnight—you can cast your vote at www.clevelandmagazine.com/bote

Stitching Memory Into Something New

There’s something about daisies that feels like home. They don’t shout for attention like roses or show off like tulips. They’re quiet, gentle, and resilient. My grandmother loved daisies more than any other flower—had them in her garden, on her tea towels, and even pressed between pages of old books.

Now, as I sit at my sewing machine, surrounded by scraps of flannel shirts, baby onesies, and soft worn denim, I think about how daisies and this work aren’t so different.

Turning a loved one’s clothing into a stuffed animal is tender work. Every garment arrives with a story—sometimes it smells like the person, sometimes there’s a note tucked into the pocket. I cut carefully, honoring what the fabric once held. There’s a quiet reverence to it, the same kind of stillness you find in a field of wildflowers.

Grief is heavy, but memory can be soft. That’s what I try to hold space for in each piece I make—not to erase the ache, but to offer something to hold onto. A reminder. A comfort. A way to say, “You are still here with me.”

And maybe that’s why daisies come to mind so often while I work. They’re simple but enduring. They show up year after year, even after the harshest winters. Just like memory. Just like love.

So whether it’s a bunny stitched from a dad’s old T-shirt or a bear made from a grandmother’s nightgown, I like to think there’s a daisy spirit in all of them. Gentle. Familiar. Rooted in love. 🌼

For the third year in a row, I’m so excited to be nominated for Cleveland Magazine’s Best of the East! It’s even more special to be alongside last year’s Best Boutique winner, The Helicopter Daughter, once again.

This journey hasn’t been easy. There have been moments of doubt, exhaustion, and frustration—copycats, negativity, and the challenges of running a small business can take their toll. And seeing so many small businesses struggle this year has been tough.

But this nomination is a bright spot. It’s a reminder of why we started, why we keep pushing, and why community support means everything. Thank you to everyone who believes in us and in the power of small businesses. We see you, and we appreciate you more than you know!

Hi everyone! As many of you know, I recently started working at a senior center (a recreation center for those 55+), and one of the special things our amazing advisory board does is send thoughtful cards to our members. They send a lot—and all of them come from donations!

Right now, we’re in desperate need of sympathy and get well cards. If you have any to spare, we would greatly appreciate them! You can either drop them off or send them—I’m happy to share the address.

Thank you so much for helping us spread kindness!
