I created this page as a former Nurse, turned Certified Life Coach and author, after going through my own personal journey of transformation. My vision is that every person with soul hunger that questions "who am I?" will have an answer that fulfills their individual search for meaning and the right relationship with their soul.

This short video with Dr. Gabor Maté delivers a powerful message that I think all women need to hear about the cultural conditioning that impacts women's stress and our health.

I'm deeply grateful that he's shedding light on this and sharing that the actual causes are "no mystery."

It's empowering to believe that we can heal from stress-related issues. I love that he challenges us to change at the personal level and not wait for society to change.

What are your thoughts, and how do you feel about what you heard?

I'm part of a spiritual book club with amazing and inspiring ladies. I was excited to dig into reading one of the stoics, Marcus Aurelius.

This morning, I read something in the book Meditations that caused a visceral reaction in me: "That I have the wife that I do: obedient, loving, humble." (pg13)

The word "obedient" really made me pause and reflect because, as a woman born in the early 1960s, that was definitely a message that I received, even in subtle ways.

How many times did I stifle my voice to be obedient? How often did I go against my own soul to fit the mould of being a good woman? How many times did I choose appeasement masked as inner peace? How many times....

Regardless of our gender, we ALL have conditioned beliefs that leave us ignoring our own souls.

As we awaken to our dual natures and practice what I call mindfulness 2.0, we're called to shed light on beliefs that no longer serve us and create space for new ones to emerge.

No human being is meant to be "obedient" to another person. While I'd like to argue that the undertone of obedience is no longer relevant, it still does exist.

We are called to be obedient to our own souls.

Calling all women interested in meditation and mindfulness!

Join a group of like-minded women from around the world this Wednesday for a free, live, and online Awakening Women's Mindfulness webinar to learn how to establish a core meditation practice for your body, mind, and soul.

As I reflected on why a core meditation practice is so important I was reminded about Dr. Gabor Maté's powerful message about stress and women's health. According to Maté, research has found that "Women take twice as many antidepressants, get 80% autoimmune diseases, they get more chronic illness, more chronic pain than men do."

While many reasons exist to establish or maintain a core meditation practice, the research and positive impact on women's health and well-being are well-proven.

It's empowering to have tools that create the inner conditions for healing, resilience and improved vitality!

In tomorrow's webinar, we'll also explore the following:

-Why it's essential to establish a consistent holistic core meditation practice that integrates your body, mind and heart.
-The four ingredients that are necessary for a meditation practice to be effective.
-The five essentials of any meditation practice, regardless of the type.
-I'll guide you in the core practice, and then we'll have time for a Q&A.

This article really caught my attention and made me reflect on the ways I've self-silenced in my life and how a little bit of my soul was snuffed out every time I did it!

Many women can relate to this, and I'm becoming increasingly mindful of it. As a Nana to four little granddaughters, it's my deepest desire that they never feel they need to self-silence!

As the author said, "Our culture rewards women for being perpetually pleasant, self-sacrificing, and emotionally in control, and it can feel counterintuitive for my clients to say "no"—or firmly assert their wants and needs. But my work is about helping them realize that their health might literally depend on it."

I'd love to hear your thoughts about women and self-silencing.

For women, being more disappointing could be a lifesaver, writes Maytal Eyal.

I love spring in Calgary! Good bye snow and hello birds chirping and green grass. This was my view today for my “happy hour” meditation. My mantra was “breathing in I calm my body, breathing out I calm my mind.”

This made me pause and reflect on what "soul searching" means. It's definitely something I've spent a fair amount of time doing in the past decade as I asked, "Who am I? What feels meaningful to me? What's my purpose this season in my life?" The gift of my soul searching was a meditation and mindfulness practice that has been a constant companion through the ups and downs of life. What has supported your soul searching?

Soul searching is all about figuring out the “why” for our existence, and fueling our lives with purpose and intent. Better yet, anyone can do it.

I love Albert Einstein's wisdom, which reminds us that we have a dual nature—meaning we're spiritual beings living stressful human lives.

When I have a problem that I can't seem to solve, I go to sleep at night, asking for guidance and help just before I drift off to sleep. I then release it and trust that the answers will arise in the right way and at the right time.

I can't tell you how many times I've woken up with the answer from someplace beyond my thinking mind, or a book jumped off the shelf, or the right person crossed my path.

Remembering my dual nature is very powerful when I need a little extra help or wisdom to solve a problem. What has helped you solve problems when you're feeling stuck?
