**YC Closing**

Hi everyone, very tardy yarn-dyer here! I just want to let everyone know that I've had to stop dyeing for several reasons, mostly orthopedic -- I injured myself in November and was in Physical Therapy for 3 months, and things are better (it would also help if I had managed to not take a fall on some ice this past week).

So, while I have loved, loved, loved doing this and SO appreciate all of you and Knitty Gritty Yarn in Liverpool NY selling my yarns for the past few years, I'm at that point where I need to be selective about my own activities, and hand-dyeing is very strenuous on the shoulders/neck/hands, etc.

There IS a bit of yarn left at the Knitty Gritty store, and I have leftover stock here at the house -- so if you are local or have been a customer in the past, definitely check out the store, or feel free to email me at [email protected] (I will be taking this page down, so don't message me here -- please email instead!) and if I have what you need, I'm happy to sell it to you!

Small batch today but happy with them - one red set of five 75/25 - and it's a great solid red!

AND played with a new base - 80/20 SW Falkland Wool/Nylon - the vendor said it loves speckling. I agree! Lots of fun.

Question: What makes hand-dyed yarn so unique and special? Why does it cost more?

Answer: There is no factory-made "hand-dyed" yarn where a human stands over the skein with a teaspoon dyeing bobbles by hand. 😉 This is special.
