One of my favorite projects lately was installing this precious peel-and-stick wallpaper in a sweet little nursery for a baby girl who will be making her grand entrance into the world in just a few weeks. 🩷

I’ve had the privilege of working on several spaces in this family’s home, and when Mom called and said she wanted this beautiful butterfly wallpaper installed, I was honored that she trusted me to be the one to do it. She knew every detail would be handled with care, and that’s exactly how I approached this special room.

The wallpaper went up beautifully, and I absolutely love the soft butterflies, delicate flowers, and whimsical feel it brings to the space. It transformed the room into something magical for this little girl.

As I was finishing up, I got a glimpse of the crib bedding that will soon be added—and there it was… a dragonfly. 💕

Most people probably wouldn’t think twice about it, but dragonflies have a special meaning to me. My mama loved dragonflies, and since she went to Heaven, I seem to notice them everywhere. In artwork, jewelry, décor, fabrics, and now on a baby’s nursery bedding.

Maybe it’s coincidence. Maybe it’s not. But every time I see one, it feels like a little wink from Heaven—a reminder that she’s still cheering me on, still proud of me, and still finding little ways to make me smile.

This nursery is beautiful, but that tiny dragonfly may have been my favorite detail of all. 🩷🦋

✨ A little peek behind the scenes of what life has looked like lately at J. Cox Designs…

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind in the best way! From whole-home remodels in progress to single-room transformations, we’ve been busy helping clients bring their visions to life while managing all the details that keep projects moving smoothly.

Lately we’ve been working on:
🏡 Whole-home renovations
🎨 Interior & exterior painting
🖼️Custom Framing and Art
🪄Wallpaper installations
🧵 Custom fabrics and upholstery
✨ Home styling and finishing touches
🌿 Porches, patios, and outdoor living spaces
🛋️ Spaces ranging from collected to traditional to Southwest-inspired designs

And somewhere in the middle of all that, I’ve been tackling projects in my own home too! 😅

One of my favorite parts of what I do is that no two projects are ever the same. Every client, every home, and every style tells a different story, and I love helping bring those stories to life.

We have so many exciting projects still in progress and even more on the horizon—more remodels, more wallpaper, more custom fabrics, more styling days, and lots of beautiful spaces coming together.

Painting has officially entered the “things just got serious” phase over here at J.Cox Designs. 😂

Cabinet doors are hanging from every possible surface, the house is wrapped in plastic like a crime scene, and there’s a fine layer of paint dust on everything I own… including probably myself at this point.

But THIS is the stage where the magic starts happening. ✨
Fresh paint, updated finishes, new life being brought into a home… and somehow complete chaos turns into something beautiful.

If you need me, I’ll be somewhere between paint samples, contractor calls, and trying not to walk through wet paint. 🎨🤍

Lately has been a little bit of everything—and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

From whole-home remodels and styling projects, to single room refreshes like bathrooms and bedrooms… fabric selections for several clients, painting projects underway, new hardwoods being laid, countertops being installed, outdoor patios getting a fresh new look, and custom shades going in both indoors and out. Several clients have had furniture selected to complete their rooms and delivered, custom shelving has been created for a client, and wallpaper selections are happening for multiple homes as well.

It’s a busy season, a full season, and one I’m so thankful for. I never take for granted the trust my clients place in me to help shape the spaces where life happens most.

There’s just something special about River Place… 🤍

I spent a few days in Mountain View getting to style this beautiful home, and let me tell you—this client had the best pieces. The kind of pieces that already tell a story. This home away from home felt so collected, so lived in, and so loved… which made my job even sweeter.

We didn’t bring in much at all—just moved things, layered, styled, and let what they already had truly shine. Those are always my favorite kinds of projects… when a home already has heart, and you just get to bring it all together.

And getting to do it at the river? Slower mornings, peaceful views, and a little reset mixed in with the work… it doesn’t get much better than that.

Now for the fun part—my client wasn’t too sure about the red furniture anymore and asked if I could make it work…

I basically said, “Absolutely… hold my hammer and watch this.” 😉

And just like that… it all came together.

That’s the beauty of design—it’s not always about starting over. Sometimes it’s about seeing things a little differently.

Spending a few days in Mountain View restyling a client’s beautiful river home, and I just have to say… I truly have the best clients. 🤍

One of the sweetest parts of what I do is getting to really know the people I work with — what they love, the treasures they’ve collected, the memories behind certain pieces, and what makes a house feel like their home. So many clients become like family, and that is something I never take for granted.

This sweet client is trusting me to help refresh her beautiful White River home for her family and guests to enjoy, and is also allowing my family to spend a little getaway time together! That kind of kindness means so much to me.

I truly treasure every client who trusts me with their home. The love people pour into their homes and the trust they give me to be part of that… it never goes unnoticed. So very thankful. 🤍
