I traded him a pine log for this beauty🌲 I think it was well worth the trade

I heard this tree crying in the distance… so I followed the sound and found it getting chopped down.
It was splitting down the middle and about to fall on a house.
They were just going to cut it up and haul it off to the landfill… so I asked if I could take it instead.
Now it gets a second life.
This is why I do what I do.
What would you build out of something like this?
Located in Northern Utah if anyone is interested.

These logs were about to end up in the landfill…
This is exactly why I started UtahTreeCycle. Taking what people see as waste and turning it into something worth keeping.
Most people think this is just a “weed tree”… but I see something completely different.

This tree burned in the LA California fires along with the home it stood by.

Instead of letting it go to waste it’s getting a second life here at the sawmil.

Turning loss into something that can be used and appreciated again 🌳
