Human made is the new luxury.
But really, it’s always been true luxury. Something prayerfully & lovingly made by a pair of real human hands. Slowly made in small batches. Not mass produced. Not carelessly made.
Intentionally made by an artisan who’s also a mom. A wife. A neighbor. A person. Human.
Someone who’s taken years to learn from their mistakes and improve their craft. Someone who’s cried over broken glass, burnt hands and spilled wax. Who pours in between bed time, meal time, and homeschooling.
Someone with seasoned hands, and a beating heart.
I’m not completely anti-AI. (Not yet 🫠) I think there are ways to be able to intentionally use it, safely, in a limited way, as a tool and for the right reason.
But one thing is true:
There is all this chaotic conversation surrounding what AI is “replacing” - but it CANNOT replace you.
That should go without saying.
It cannot replace us artisans. Our work. Our heart. Our craft. The cheap imitation that might otherwise come from it, can in zero way compare to a real God-given gift.
The Lord can and will use all things for good.
I encourage you to keep going.
Keep working on your craft, praying over your work, asking the Lord to help you glorify Him through your creations. Keep trusting Him.
He didn’t give you these gifts for you to toss them away. Use them to honor Him. He will ALWAYS bless you.
The best thing you can do is keep going, keep praying, never lose hope and keep supporting your favorite small handmade shops anytime you can.
We can complain about it, or we can be the difference that sets us apart. (Or both tbh 😂)
But in all seriousness - I haven’t lost hope. And neither should you. My gifts come from heaven. Yours does too.
Behave accordingly.
