Made by Tyree After teaching art for over 13 years I am finally making my art. Pottery, photography, and more.

Wish they hadn’t needed replacing, but glad they are here. I love Blick Art Materials and The Ceramic Shop.
Now I can really get back to it.
Thankful

I used winter as an excuse not to deep clean for way too long. It’s almost June. 😂 Still have more to do, but progress!

Throwing my back out while emptying my kiln was adding injury to insult. Months of work lost. A kiln shelf and shelf supports destroyed. Brand new jewelry rack needing to be repaired. And then hardly being able to move for days. It was almost too much at once. Thankfully I was able to finally get back to it yesterday. With a new shelf and supports in the mail hopefully arriving by Friday I have hope coming back. Maybe I can get another load made and fired before June 20th. At least I feel like trying again.

If this had died in the cookie catastrophe I probably wouldn’t have cared. Wish my vase or bud vases or mug had been saved instead of this. But, you have to experiment, because one day it might turn out amazing.

I would love to win one! I love sand and sea right now, but there are so many great glazes from Mayco Colors

I may not have loved my garden fairy, but I LOVE how this fairy magnet turned out. I used copper wash, EL patina and milk glass on White Sea mix 6 clay. I might make another garden fairy out of white clay and try something more like this maybe? What do you think?

I feel like she lost something with the glaze. I want to make a new one and glaze her a solid dark color, I think, or maybe patina on a light clay? She is ok, but not what I was hoping for. What do you think?

Grateful for every piece that survived the kiln catastrophe, but especially grateful this guy survived. This was a tricky form to learn.

This one almost made it out of the cookie catastrophe. So close, but not quite far enough away. If I could only turn back time and throw away the cookies.

One of the things I will have to try again.
