Hello! Iโm Melissa, the creator of WishCraft Prints. Iโm 27 years old, and originally from a little town called Berwick-upon-Tweed but moved further down the North East for University almost 10 years ago.
I come from a craft-loving family and Iโve always felt inspired to create pretty things. Thereโs something very therapeutic about crafting and designing, and Iโm grateful to be doing it every day!
My sister asked me if I was able to design some posters for my little nephewsโ bedroom walls (as she was decorating and knew I was good with computers), so I gave it a shot and really enjoyed the designing process.
From there it became a hobby, mainly designing for friends and family whilst working full-time elsewhere. This gave me time to test various paper types, printers, inks, packaging, etc. I knew I wanted to start a print business, but kept putting it off as I didnโt think I was good enough...
Then in late 2017, my granny (like a mother to me) passed away. Creating this business is what helped me get through that difficult time. A few months later, thatโs when I opened my Etsy shop. I know sheโd be so proud, and thatโs what encourages me to keep growing my little business! She was my inspiration and always will be.
And now?
WishCraft Prints is now my full-time job! I have a little studio in my home where everything is designed, printed and packaged. Iโve had to get some extra help to keep up with growing orders lately so my other half (Dan) now helps with packaging and posting too when he can. We have the most wonderful customers (and brand reps), and really appreciate all the support weโve had so far, itโs literally changed our lives!
