11 days into 2025… How y’all feeling?

I’ll go first - I’m anxious, worried, overwhelmed, appauled, devestated …about the fires, the incessant wars, and senseless deaths here and abroad, scared for my trans and q***r kin, enraged at the state of the world

and also

still, somehow

grateful and in awe of life … grateful that my basic needs are met, I have food, clothes, and a home to return to and shelter from the winter weather.

It is all feel like SO MUCH to hold and process and I have nothing smart or wise to say. Just that I love you, for whatever that is worth.

On the business front I’ve decided to extend our clearance sale until the end of the month. Something is calling me to clear out space for whatever is coming next.

This month we will be donating profits to help with the fire recovery efforts in LA and will also continue to support organizations that care for and advocate for our trans communities.

I truly hope you all are taking care of yourselves and each other in the best ways you can. We get through this all together.

It never ceases to delight me that we get to celebrate Juneteenth and Pride in the same month. What a timely reminder of the interconnectedness of our movements and our liberation. I have endless gratitude for the ancestors that made the life I live today possible and feel a renewed sense of conviction to keep fighting, here and abroad, for the generations to come.

I’m not gonna lie. It has been taking me a while to get into the PRIDE spirit. With so many ongoing tragedies on a global and personal level it’s been challenging to locate joy. It’s also disheartening to see so many major companies pulling back their support of Pride because they’re scared of the backlash.

Lucky for us all q***r folks are the most magically creative and resilient bunch, contributing so much beauty and goodness to the world.

If you’re participating in PRIDE this year I hope you experience so much love and JOY. And remember to support actual brands instead oof those fair weather big box brands that try to steal our shine.
