This guy deserves a medal - RYAN DONIAS - https://tinytinyhomes.ca/get-involved/ - https://www.facebook.com/ryan.donais.52/ and to think in February 2025 this was on the news "Five of those units now sit in St. James Park, offering warmth and security to those with nowhere else to go.
But now, the City of Toronto is demanding the shelters be taken down." What is wrong with this city??
Thankfully this seems to be improving.

As designers, we really need to get better at this. After following Sawchuk Accessible Solutions for a couple of years now I find myself much more aware (and annoyed!!) of the mistakes made in these supposedly public washrooms.
Grab bars in the wrong locations. or missing totally
Toilet paper dispensers in the wrong location - a pet peeve of mine in all bathrooms
People leaving the baby change table in the down position, or broken so permanently down - how is a person in a wheelchair meant to maneuver around that?
Even in hospitals I see badly designed ones!!! It's shocking.
This needs to get better!!

Universal washrooms are not truly universal unless you add an adult-size change table.
