Earth Day is a good day to pause.

Not to add something to the list. Just to pause.

We're carrying a lot. Raising families, building careers, keeping up with a world that moves faster every year. The last thing anyone needs is one more thing to figure out.

This whole thing started because changing my duvet cover slowed me down. Or sped up my heart rate. Regardless, it was a mess. So naturally, I started a company.

But when we sat down to build Down for Good®, it became something more. We wanted to create a product experience so good that doing better was just already built in. No extra effort. No compromise. A product that works better for you — and happens to be better for the planet.

We're proud 1% for the Planet partners. Proud to be building something that lasts. And hoping to build a community where we help lighten the load together.

Friday night we were in a room full of the kind of people who remind you why Minnesota is so special. Creatives, entrepreneurs, storytellers, builders, all gathered to celebrate the launch of Issue 3.

As editor Emma Geary puts it, this magazine exists to put Minnesota on the map by telling the stories of the people who make this place great. And Issue 3 feels especially meaningful. Her opening note doesn't look away from the hard winter this state has been through, and celebrates "the way we pull each other close when it matters." So true, and we love how she puts it.

The stories in this issue are incredible. Real people, real businesses, the kind of features you read slowly because you don't want them to end. We are honored to be included in the "Local Loves" section alongside 32 other local businesses worth knowing about.

Some evenings just remind you why community matters. 🌿

We had the absolute honor of attending Cultivate Sustainable Event & Wedding Showcase — a morning of learning, connecting, and being genuinely inspired by the people in this space who are doing the work with so much intention.

But the story actually started the night before, with a sustainable dinner event, The Art of the After Party. This evening was as creative as it was conscious — a 5 course menu designed with intention, beauty in every detail, and thoughtfully built to minimize waste. And the cloth napkins?
Hand-dyed using plant-based dyes, made from our very own deadstock fabric, and transformed by the incredibly talented and Isabell from into something we genuinely didn’t want to put down.

The conversations were real, the speakers were incredible, and the energy in the room was everything- a space made even more beautiful by the sustainable decor. This is what the future of events looks like. And we are so hear for it. Thank you for including us in something so special.
