Today, we celebrate and honor the rich traditions and cultures of Indigenous peoples across the world. In many Indigenous communities, scent plays a vital role in rituals, healing, and spiritual practices, connecting us to the Earth, our ancestors, and the divine. Here are four sacred scents and their meanings:

🌿Sage – A symbol of protection and cleansing. Sage is used to purify spaces, people, and objects, removing negative energy and preparing for spiritual ceremonies.

🪵Cedar – Represents strength and resilience. Cedar is often burned to invite good spirits and offer protection, grounding us in times of reflection and prayer.

🌱Sweetgrass – A scent of peace and positivity. Sweetgrass is braided and burned to bring blessings, balance, and harmony into our lives, reminding us of our connection to nature.
