I don’t generally make very small crochet items. I find them a little too fiddly, and honestly… my tension isn’t always worthy of such tiny pieces! 😂

The most recent small item I made was a pair of crochet earrings to wear to the Crochet Australia weekend retreat.

Using continuous heart motifs, which were the theme for the weekend, I created these little earrings. ❤️

I’m really happy with how they turned out! They’re cute, lightweight and so comfortable to wear — perfect for a full day of chatting, crocheting and catching up with crochet friends. 🥰

Sometimes the smallest crochet projects can make the biggest statement!

I absolutely love the crochet community, especially here on social media. 🧶💕 I love being able to share what I create, see what others are making, learn new things and cheer each other on.

But can I be honest?

Every time I press POST, I second-guess myself. 😳

Is it good enough?
Will people like it?
Will they like me?
Are my designs really good enough to share?

Sometimes that little voice of self-doubt can be surprisingly loud.

And yet… I keep creating. I keep sharing. I keep pressing that button. 🩷

Because at the end of the day, crochet is something I love, and if something I've created inspires, helps or simply makes someone smile, then surely that's worth sharing.

So I'm wondering… does anyone else feel like this too?
Do you ever hit post and immediately question everything? 😂🧶

Let's remind each other that we don't have to be perfect to belong in this wonderful crochet community. 💕

🌸 Hello, “Ber” months! 🧶☀️🎃🎄

Here in Australia, the Ber months bring a beautiful change of seasons — and for us crocheters, a whole new collection of inspiration!

🌷 September welcomes the start of spring. The colours get brighter, flowers begin to bloom, the days stretch a little longer and, before we know it, our crochet projects start getting smaller and lighter.

🌸 October has spring in full bloom, with warmer days, beautiful gardens and a little Halloween fun creeping into our crochet. 🎃🕷️ Time to get creative and add a touch of spooky!

🌅 November sees spring winding up and the weather warming. It’s time for beach days, magical sunrises and sunsets, breezy crochet projects… and the beginning of Christmas crochet. 🎄

☀️ December means summer is here! Warm, balmy days call for cotton crochet, beachy makes and light, colourful projects. Meanwhile, Christmas crochet is in full swing — with a little time left for ice creams and fruit salad… yum! 🍦🍓

So here’s to the Ber months — four months of changing seasons, colourful yarn, handmade goodness, celebrations and plenty of crochet inspiration!

🌈 Rainbow

This is one of my favourite places to crochet… at the beach, and in particular.... Rainbow Beach! 🏖️🧶

There’s just something about sitting by the ocean with my crochet in hand, listening to the waves and enjoying the sunshine. It’s definitely one of my happy places. 💕
