Biography
I was born, and for most of my life have lived around the Shipley area of West Yorkshire, an area quite well known for producing well-known "international" artists, such as David Hockney...(and maybe me...who knows?!?!). I have been painting and drawing my entire life and I can remember winning my first competition at the age of 5 for drawing a black horse (now a very well known logo for a very well known high street bank). Anyway, to cut a long story short, I am one of those people who likes everything to be "just so", and I am passionate about the finishing touches in a room, hense, when I couldn't find any art work anywhere to hang on my walls, I decided to take the bull by the horns and create my own individual and unique pieces to suit my taste and my interior! My first exhibition was for a lovely chap called Anthony Mellor, in Headingley, Leeds, the husband of the well known author Kay Mellor. He thought my work was fantastic (his words) and confirmed that this was where my future would take me... WOW!!!...I was stunned to hear this. Mellor proved to be right, as I have now sold to most countries around the world. I create completely unique, beautiful, one-off pieces of art. All on box canvas frames and all ready to hang. I am also available for commissioned pieces which of course means you have the freedom to choose your own design in your own colours and on specific sized canvases of your choice to suit your interior. In the past, been commissioned by many clients including well known hotel chains, restaurants, premiership footballers, banks, GHD (the hair straightening people) and Marks and Spencer.....to name but a few!!!
