For this antique sewing cabinet, restoration was the clear choice.

The whole vibe I’m going for with this makeover is FUN. And the existing base wasn’t doing it for me. So I chopped it.

I added roofing material that I snagged for free on Marketplace in its place. I’ve seen do this several times and it’s brilliant!

This treadle sewing machine has been in my client’s family for years. It’s gorgeous but has been worn over time: Peeling and chipped veneer, dry wood, and failing finish.

The goal here wasn’t to reimagine; it was to restore. Now she’s ready to shine again.
