I finally found cabbage!
The next batch of cabbage rolls will be available SEPTEMBER 5th.
Please order directly on the website using the link below.

- Each cabbage roll is a minimum of 150g of filling per roll (or equivalent between 2 rolls for 1 serving)
- They will be cooked - ready to serve (may need warming) on pickup.
- Minimum order is 2 cabbage rolls - $5 / cabbage roll.

Thanks for your patience throughout the summer with the heat and then finding a suitable size head of cabbage.

**WEBSITE UPDATE**
There was an inventory issue with the mixed fruit and cherry pierogi on the website where it was marked "Sold Out". These two items are NOT sold out. The issue has been fixed but if you still see them as sold out when trying to order, please send me a DM.

I swear it's real! The legend states that in 1238, a severe hailstorm destroyed the crops in the village of Kościelec. Hyacinth told the starving villagers to pray, and their flattened fields miraculously revived the next day. In deep gratitude, they made the first pierogi for him from the new grain. The day coincides with the annual pierogi festival in cities like Krakow. It also prompted the catchphrase "Święty Jacku z pierogami!" used in shock and surprise, much like saying "good grief!" or "holy smokes!" in English.

(AI generated (obviously) - in my defence, I asked it to replace the plate of pierogi with one of my pics six times. All six times, it ignored the request - how rude!)

It's always been important for us that we only use quality and local products - as much as we possibly can. We (okay - hubby because his taste buds are quite extraordinary) tested over a dozen different cheddar cheeses 🧀 before we finally moved to using St Guillaume. For a cheese lover - it was such a huuuuggge burden to taste test all those cheeses 🙄. In the end, St. Guillaume won out for both taste and value. Hoping you like it as much as we do. 💖

I'm embarrassed to say that it's taken me waaayyy too long to visit Mergl Farm. Only 7 minutes from our house, we've been missing this gem in our neighbourhood. I was so excited to see Kirby cucumbers. They've been hard to find around here - or maybe it's just me. Now, I can start experimenting with dill pickles recipes. My father used to make the absolute BEST dill pickles. Of course, the recipe was in his head but I had a first row seat on how the magic happened. I just need to remember the sequence and how many weeks they needed to ferment. You never want to open the last jar of something your parents made when they're no longer here - but taste is such a wonderful memory. Time to make my own.
