Great news from the Ortho! Healing extremely well. Range Of Motion is doing great. No formal PT. Just new exercises. And Scarlet gave me TRIPLETS! 2 bucks and a doe. We will be keeping Varuca Salt, and Violet from Rosemary.

Yesterday Pocahontas gave us Buck/Doe twins. This morning I found Molly with triplet does. Sadly one did not make it. That makes 6 babies so far. Next is Scarlet, and probably a month later will be Cinnamon.

Rosemary, the Belle of St Gabriel Farmers Market, gave us her buck/doe twins today. All three are expected to be at the market next Saturday!

Three weeks post fall

The pain is almost gone except when I get jarred, or do my exercises. Mobility is coming back passively, but the muscles are not firing on their own much. Tomorrow I start pulley and broomstick exercises. The bruising is following gravity, and is now gorgeous in my forearm. Because of the swelling in the elbow, I have not been able to wear the pillow sling I was given last Friday.

3 weeks until the first Market of 2026. 2 weeks until the first kids could possibly arrive. I can milk 1 handed…….. if I have to.

Writing with my left hand is not as horrible as I thought. Hopefully soon I can get my right side working. 16 ish days until the babies are starting to come, although looking at udders, I think I have at least an extra week. Time to start getting BlueEyedBoy to help prepare. Baby bin needs to be cleaned. Rag towels washed and on standby. Nipples/bottles/bucket cleaned and ready. Order more jars and lids.

Doing home PT for this shoulder for now. No surgery! It is stiff and sore. The swelling has left my upper arm, and now sits in my lower arm/elbow. So annoying. And I can NOT wait to sleep in my bed like a normal human again. I hate sleeping upright on the couch.

Another xray on the 13 to see if the broken pieces parts stay fairly inline, or require surgery. In the meantime, I embrace my ambidextrous new self. Realizing that with my left, I twirl spaghetti the opposite as I did as a righty.

Please pray for me and the rest of the family. I tripped in the yard l last night and broke my right shoulder. At the moment, they feel it will heal without surgery. But it hurts badly. And I will be out of commission for a bit. I had four kids with no pain meds. This is brutal.

Baby goats coming in 5 weeks, my milaw depends on me for showers, Basso’s training out on hold, not sure how to make soap….
