This is one of the most meaningful portraits I've ever created. ❤️

Not long after this engraving was finished, this beloved dog passed away. What began as a beautiful birthday gift became a treasured reminder of a faithful companion with many happy memories.💫✨️

"Lola was a tiny bulldog surveillance operative" and had "an enormous spirit packed into a small stubborn body", in the words of her guardian and protector. 🐕❣️ Her signature side-eye pose was the favourite of many who loved her 👀

Knowing the comfort this portrait brings, is a reminder of why preserving our pets' stories matters. Their paw prints may fade from the floor, but they'll never fade from our hearts. 🐾🐾

❤️ After losing my beautiful 21-year-old cat, I found myself shutting down creatively for quite some time.

🐾 The grief left a strange void that fellow pet lovers will understand all too well.

💫 In her memory, I've started creating a layered artwork that I can see and cherish every day. I miss her deeply, but creating again feels like a step forward.

💌This piece is still a work in progress, so watch this space for the final reveal.
