Stunning vase with a frosted glass band etched with a floral pattern. I'm told it's made in Zajecar in Yugoslavia circa 1970. Can't see any markings.

Made by the Pyrene Manufacturing Company of Newark, New Jersey, circa 1930. Serial number U363831

Constructed from solid brass it features a hand-pump mechanism for operation. These extinguishers were commonly used in early automobiles to combat engine fires and contained carbon tetra-chloride.

In good vintage condition with age-related wear, a few dings, scratches and scuff marks.

These antique fire extinguishers are an exceptionally rare find, especially in this condition.

Also known as Chinese health balls, designed for hand exercise and meditation.
They are used by rotating them in the hand to improve dexterity, increase circulation and relieve stress. The balls produce a chiming sound when rotated.

In original Asian print case, lined with fabric and with a small latch on the front.

The case measures 12cm x 6.5cm x 6cm high.
The baoding balls measure approximately 4cm across.

All in good vintage condition. The fabric covering and inside the case is a bit faded/worn and the latch is a little rusty. The balls are in great, usable condition.
