What happens when three centuries of design meet on one table?

In this space, we’re layering a classic Scottish tartan, a richly detailed Jacobean floral, and a timeless French toile — each with its own story, origin, and character.

Individually, they’re beautiful. Together, they create something far more interesting — a space that feels collected, not decorated.

This is how we approach design at Silver Rabbit: blending eras, balancing pattern, and curating interiors that feel lived-in, layered, and entirely personal.

Because great design isn’t about choosing one style — it’s about telling a story.

A beautiful morning spent at , exploring their latest fabric collections in person.
There’s something so valuable about experiencing textiles up close — seeing the depth of colour, feeling the textures, and discovering the details that don’t always translate through a screen. From refined neutrals and tactile weaves to bold statement prints and embroidered designs, the new collections offered so much inspiration for upcoming interiors.
Thank you to the Mavromac team for such a warm and inspiring showroom experience, complete with beautiful fabrics, thoughtful conversation, and a lovely slice of cake.

Our homes are often shaped by far more than what we find beautiful.

Sometimes, we are drawn to certain colours, patterns, textures, or details because they feel familiar — because they quietly connect us to a memory, a childhood place, or a part of ourselves that once felt safe, creative, or understood.

Your personal style does not need to be explained away. It does not need to follow a trend or make sense to everyone else. When chosen with care, the things you love can become a deeply meaningful part of how your home holds you.

A beautiful interior is not only about refinement. It is also about recognition — seeing yourself reflected in the spaces you live in.

What does home bring you back to?

Chinoiserie is timeless — but often misunderstood.
Originally emerging in 17th–18th century Europe, Chinoiserie was inspired by Chinese art, craftsmanship, and philosophy. It was never meant to be an exact representation of Chinese design, but rather an interpretation shaped through cultural exchange.
What continues to make it relevant today is not trend or ornamentation alone — but the enduring principles behind it:
• harmony
• storytelling
• reverence for nature
• intricate craftsmanship
In modern interiors, Chinoiserie works best when approached thoughtfully:
— as a reference, not a theme
— layered with restraint
— balanced with authenticity and artisan-made pieces
Good design evolves through influence, appreciation, and understanding. Chinoiserie remains a reminder of the lasting impact Chinese artistry has had on global design history.

Site visit days are where ideas meet reality. 🧱
Spent the day on-site reviewing progress, surrounded by bricks, cement, and scaffolding — the bones of something taking shape. We met with the client to walk through a few design changes, making sure every detail still aligns with the vision.
These moments matter: refining, adjusting, and collaborating in real time to get it right.

Luxury in interior design is often misunderstood as accumulation—more furniture, more detail, more shine. But true luxury is quieter than that. It lives in the space between things, in the way light moves through a room, in how proportions feel without being explained.

For us, luxury is memory—spaces that feel lived in, even when they are new. It is restraint—the discipline to remove what does not serve the experience. And it is proportion—the invisible harmony that makes a room feel effortless rather than designed.

When these three elements come together, a space stops trying to impress and starts to feel right.

Luxury isn’t more — it’s memory, restraint, and proportion.

We had the pleasure of attending the Hertex Autumn/Winter launch, where the latest collections and the inspiration behind them were unveiled.
This season leans into warmth and depth, with a refined colour palette featuring Ecru, Nutshell, Burgundy and Petrol Blue — and notably, a move away from the cooler greys of previous years.
In textiles, boucle still holds its place, but we’re seeing a clear shift toward fabrics with a drier handle, bringing a more tailored and contemporary feel.
Materiality is equally exciting, with finishes like travertine, darker stained woods and frosted glass taking centre stage — adding richness and subtle texture to interiors.
On the furniture front, modular designs continue to dominate for their versatility, while soft, curved silhouettes are making a strong statement — extending beautifully into outdoor spaces as well.
A thoughtful, tactile season ahead — and we’re here for it.

What makes a home truly timeless?
It’s not the furniture.
Not the trends.
Not how “perfect” it looks.
It’s something quieter…
Something you feel before you can explain it.
Depth.
The layering of texture, contrast, and light.
The balance between calm and interest.
The kind of space that doesn’t try too hard — but stays with you.
Because decoration fills a space…
but depth creates a feeling.
Save this for your next redesign.
Follow for interiors that feel as good as they look.
