Every project begins with a designer willing to trust the workers —and the people behind it.

A special thank-you to Abby from Chisel Interior Architects for entrusting us with the lit sculpture commission for Bel Punto in Umdloti.

That opportunity allowed Fat Flower and Gregory Burne Craftsman to bring this piece to 3D. Seeing it installed is something we are deeply proud of. Please give Chisel Interior Architects some love ♥️ Head over to their page, explore their beautiful work and give them a follow

Thank you for your trusting us to bring your vision to life in this beautiful space

Created for Bel Punto in Umdloti, this flowing light sculpture brings together sculpted metal and thousands of meters of handwoven cotton cord and warm light.
A successful collaboration between Fat Flower, Gregory Burne Craftsman + Chisel Design Interiors, brought to life with the patience and skill of our team.
Structured yet fluid, and shaped by the natural rhythm of the coastline. We are proud.

Some pieces are TOO beautiful to let go. For our client’s cellar, we kept the existing leather, added richly textured woven fabric and made two matching footstools.

We love how the old and new sit together — warm, comfortable and ready for a long evening over a glass of w**e.

Nagare is almost ready to leave our workshop. 🤍

What began as a drawing became an armature, then a sculpture shaped by many hours of careful work. It has been a passion project for our team. Zandile, Inno and Asanda have poured themselves into it, learned along the way and made made me feel BEYOND proud.

Thank you to Greg for bringing the armature to life, and to everyone who trusted us to be part of this project.

We’ll share a final few photographs once Nagare is installed and glowing in its final space. We can’t wait to see it there.

As our sculptures near completion, here are some more behind the scenes pics - what an incredible opportunity this has been! We look forward to many more going forward ###
PS: Full disclosure: the sculptures + humans are completely real—the slightly better-behaved background had a little help from AI. Our workshop doesn’t normally tidy itself 🤪🤪🤪

Progress pics! Whew what a delightful project to be trusted with - an honour 🙏🏼
