This year’s Hill’s 1000 Paws Walk for SPCAs takes place on 12 June from 8am to 2pm.

This vital fundraising event for the three Midlands’ SPCA branches will be held at Highgate Wine Estate on the R103 in Lions River.

7:30 Registration station opens
8:00 Walks open
8:30 Khazimula Marimba performance
9:00 Dog and owner look-a-like competition
9:20 Precious Pups competition (up to 6 months)
9:45 Khazimula Marimba performance
10:00 Terrific Teens competition (6 to 18 months)
10:20 Awesome Adult Dog competition (18 months to 7 years)
10:45 Golden Oldies competition (8 years and older)
11:10 Most Special Rescue Dog (from any recognised rescue centre)
11:30 Champion Dog competition (adopted from any SPCA)
12:00 Khazimula Marimba performance
12:30 Raffle Draw
14:00 End of event
