A room designed to grow with them.

This playroom was created as a space for kids to hang out, get homework done, play music, work on their hobbies — and, importantly, just be kids.

A comfortable sofa for lounging, a proper desk for homework and creative projects, plenty of natural light and a little space for everything from guitars to schoolwork.

Because the best children’s spaces aren’t necessarily filled with toys. They’re spaces that encourage creativity, independence and a little bit of everyday chaos — in a very considered way.

I don’t often design children’s bedrooms, but when the opportunity to do something this fun comes along, how could I possibly say no?

This room was all about colour, pattern and a little bit of personality. Purple and toffee are one of my favourite colour combinations, and I love how they work together here without feeling overly sweet.

The wallpaper matching with the upholstery fabric is one of my all-time favourite design details. And that headboard? Trimmed in distressed leather for just the right amount of grown-up, edgy sophistication.

A children’s room, but designed with the same attention to detail as any other room in the house.

A dining room should do more than bring people together—it should make them want to stay a little longer.
