🌻 “Where the Light Finds Me”
There is something about a sunflower that feels like a quiet reminder to keep reaching for the light.
I painted this sunflower with warm golden petals, rich earthy tones and vibrant greens — capturing not only the flower in full bloom, but the little moments around it: the unopened bud, the leaves reaching outward, and the promise of another flower yet to come.
Because blooming isn't always about being at your fullest.

Sometimes, it is about growing, waiting, reaching… and trusting that your time will come.
The sunflower stands tall beneath a soft morning sky, imperfectly painted, yet full of warmth and life.

And perhaps that is the beauty of it:
We don't have to be perfect to bloom beautifully. 🌻

“A Gentle Kind of Wild”🍃
There is something beautifully carefree about Cosmos flowers —
they don’t seem to ask permission to bloom.
They simply sway with the breeze, reaching for the light.

I painted these Cosmos with loose brushstrokes and gentle washes of lavender, violet and soft blue, letting the colours wander across the paper much like wildflowers wander through a garden.
Some petals are defined, others imperfect.
Some blooms are open, while others are still waiting to unfold.
And perhaps that is what I love most about them…

Beauty doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth painting.
It simply needs room to grow. 🌿

🌸 “Where Wildflowers Whisper”
There is something quietly beautiful about the Echinacea —
strong enough to stand tall, yet delicate enough to dance with the wind.
I painted these flowers as a little reminder that beauty doesn't always need to be perfect. Each petal, each imperfect line, and every splash of colour carries its own story.
The soft lavender petals reaching toward the sky, the warm golden centres, and the wild green leaves create a moment that feels almost untouched — as though you have stepped into a summer garden just before the breeze arrives.

🌸 Where the Wildflowers Whisper

There is something magical about flowers that simply bloom.

No need to be perfect.
No need to be noticed.
They just open their petals and become what they were created to be. 💙

These little blue blooms found their place among soft washes of pink and trailing green — a reminder that beauty doesn't always need to be loud.

Sometimes, it is found in the quiet moments…
in the gentle colours…
in simply allowing yourself to bloom where you are. 🌿✨

Where Fire Meets Bloom 🌺

Fiery orange petals meet quiet softness —strength beside vulnerability, movement beside stillness.

Perhaps art does more than capture a moment.

Sometimes, it captures who we were before we knew who we were becoming.

🌱🍅 A little reminder from my garden as September begins…
We plant the seed.
We nurture it.
We wait.
We trust.
And then, in God's perfect timing, something begins to grow.

Maybe our lives are a little like that garden.
Some seasons feel slow. Some things seem to have died completely. And sometimes we don't understand what is happening beneath the surface.
But God is still working.

So here's to September — a month of growth, grace, gratitude and new beginnings. 🌸

I'm going to keep planting, keep tending, keep praying… and leave the growing to God.

“God did it.” 🤍🌱

🌿 Where Wild Things Bloom 💜
Some flowers don't bloom quietly.
They reach, bend, break, and still choose to grow.
Painted in soft watercolour, these purple blooms became a little reminder to me that beauty doesn't have to be perfect to be meaningful.

The splashes are intentional — a little wildness, a little uncertainty, and a little life escaping beyond the edges.
Because sometimes, the most beautiful things grow
where we least expect them. 🌿💜

There are days when a garden feels like much more than a garden.

Today, as I walked among the flowers, harvested a few peas and worked with my hands in the soil, I was reminded of just how much there is to be thankful for.

I thank God for giving me the ability to work with my hands.

For the strength to dig, plant, prune and nurture.

For the health that allows me to spend time outside, feeling the earth beneath my hands and watching something grow because I cared for it.

Every little harvest is a blessing.
Every flower is a reminder of His beauty.
Every new leaf is a quiet lesson in patience and hope.

And sometimes, the greatest gifts aren't growing in the garden at all.

Sometimes they're lying beside you, keeping you company while you work. ❤️

I know I don't do this garden alone.

God gives the rain.
He gives the sunshine.
He gives the soil its life.
And He gives me the hands, strength and opportunity to be part of it.

So today, I simply want to say:

Thank You, Lord.

For this garden.
For the work.
For the harvest.
For the strength to keep going.
And for every little blessing that I might otherwise overlook.

🌱 “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” — Psalm 24:1

May I always remember that what grows from the soil is a gift…

…and so is the ability to tend it. 🌿💜
