Just launched on our website: this original painting by Hanna Farmer on an A5 leather journal cover, and matching painting on one of our fountain pens.
A journal can be a place to reveal one’s many moods, whether happy, sad, mad, reflective, stressed, or content, and aspects of one’s personality, such as creative, zany, obsessive, impulsive, control-freak, a daydreamer, or addicted to beauty. (And sometimes all of these all within the same day!)
What better place to keep these thoughts safe than inside this leather journal cover aptly called My Many Faces.
The matching fountain pen is an astonishing work of art, especially given that it is painted on such a minute surface. Hanna painted directly on to the body of one of our Jabulani models.
We then coated the artwork in a clear resin and turned it into a fountain pen, adding a custom-made blood red grip section, a #6 Jowo nib and a specially designed custom clip.
The clear resin protects the artwork and allows the owner to carry this pen and use it as a functional work of art. The clip, cap band, and the logo medallion embedded in the cap finial are solid Sterling silver, made via the traditional lost wax method of casting precious metals.
Each of our hand-painted fountain pens is an original and this leather journal cover is also an original. (We will be selling prints of this artwork on journal covers, but just to be clear: what makes this one special is that it is the original painting.)
