Today I want to celebrate a friend who became family. ❤️
Many of you know me as the lady behind GlamUp, but very few know the journey that brought me here.
Years ago, I made a decision that many people didn't understand. I left my job as a police officer and decided to pursue beauty. To some people it sounded crazy. Some laughed. Some questioned me. Some asked, "Why would you leave your job for makeup, nails and lashes?"
The truth is, I didn't even have everything figured out.
I couldn't afford all the training I wanted. I didn't have a proper mentor in makeup, nails or lashes. I was learning, making mistakes, watching tutorials, practising and trying again. I was a self-taught girl with a dream and a lot of determination.
Then God brought Trish into my life. ❤️
Trish trusted me when many people didn't.
When my nails weren't perfect, she would still sit down and let me practise on her.
When I was learning makeup, she became my model.
When I doubted myself, she encouraged me.
When I made mistakes, she didn't laugh at me.
When others questioned my journey, she believed in it.
She saw something in me before the results were visible.
Today I had the privilege of doing her semi-permanent brows, and as I looked at her sitting in my chair, I couldn't help but think about how far we've both come. 🥹✨
This wasn't just another client appointment.
This was a reminder that behind every successful business, there is usually someone who believed before everyone else did.
Someone who supported you when your work wasn't perfect.
Someone who spoke life into your dream when the community was laughing.
Someone who saw your future before you could see it yourself.
Trish, thank you. ❤️
Thank you for every appointment, every encouraging word, every referral, every conversation and every moment you reminded me not to give up.
You are more than a client.
You are part of the GlamUp story.
And because you're a businesswoman too, our conversations are never just conversations. We talk vision, growth, challenges and dreams. You have been a true supporter from day one.
May God bless you abundantly. 🤍
To everyone reading this:
