One of the best views in Abu Dhabi deserves a window solution that works just as hard as it looks.
This apartment in Etihad Towers had incredible floor-to-ceiling windows, but with the afternoon sun came intense heat, glare and a lack of privacy. The customer also wanted a bedroom that could be made properly dark without compromising the clean, modern look of the space.
Our solution was a combination of made-to-measure manual blackout roller blinds paired with full-length blackout curtains.
The blackout roller blinds do the hard work of reducing sunlight, glare and heat during the day, while the curtains add an extra layer of insulation, soften the room and help minimise the remaining light around the edges for a more restful night's sleep.
Many people assume a blackout fabric alone will create complete darkness. In reality, professional measuring and installation are just as important as the fabric itself.
