A memorable visit to Kyoto, where I had the opportunity to connect with fellow manga and anime enthusiasts and share a perspective that is rarely seen in Japan—the experience of being a manga fan and creator in the GCC region.

As an Emirati manga artist, it was an honor to introduce my work, my journey, and my original character, Asami, while exchanging stories about how manga has inspired creators and readers across different cultures. These conversations reminded me how art can bridge distances and create meaningful connections between communities.

I was also grateful to visit the Kyoto International Manga Museum, where we discussed many exciting ideas for the future. Some special collaborations and projects are currently in the works, and I look forward to sharing more when the time is right.

Thank you to everyone who welcomed me so warmly. This visit was filled with inspiration, cultural exchange, and a shared love for manga that transcends borders.
كانت زيارتي إلى كيوتو تجربة مميزة ومُلهمة، حيث أتيحت لي الفرصة للقاء عشاق المانغا والأنمي والتعريف بجانب قد لا يعرفه الكثيرون في اليابان، وهو تجربة محبي المانغا وصُنّاعها في دول الخليج العربي.

بصفتي فنانة مانغا إماراتية، كان من دواعي فخري أن أشاركهم أعمالي الفنية ورحلتي الإبداعية وشخصيتي “أسامي”، وأن نتبادل الأحاديث حول تأثير المانغا في مجتمعاتنا المختلفة. لقد كانت فرصة رائعة للتبادل الثقافي والتعرّف على وجهات نظر وتجارب متنوعة يجمعها حب المانغا.

كما سعدت بزيارة متحف كيوتو الدولي للمانغا، حيث ناقشنا العديد من الأفكار والمشاريع المستقبلية الواعدة. هناك بعض الخطط والتعاونات التي لا تزال قيد الإعداد، وأتطلع إلى مشاركتها معكم في الوقت المناسب.

أشكر كل من رحّب بي خلال هذه الزيارة. كانت أياماً مليئة بالإلهام والتعلّم والتبادل الثقافي، وأكدت لي مرة أخرى أن الفن والمانغا قادران على بناء جسور تربط بين الشعوب مهما كانت المسافات. 🇦🇪🤝🇯🇵

تشرفت بتقديم ورشة تصميم شخصية مانغا في مدرسة جميرا للتعليم الإنجليزي
للفئة العمرية 10–13 سنة، بتاريخ 29 يناير ✨
تجربة جميلة ومليئة بالحماس، مع مشاركة 90 طالباً أبدعوا بأفكارهم وشخصياتهم الخاصة.
سعيدة جداً بهذه الطاقة والإبداع 👩🏻‍🎨

I truly enjoyed delivering the Manga Character Design Workshop at Jumeirah English Speaking School
for ages 10–13, on 29 January.
An inspiring experience with 90 students, full of creativity, imagination, and great energy.
So proud of what they created 🎨✨
