The client's request was straightforward: a space that could function as one large conference room or be divided into two separate meeting rooms. However, this simplicity masked a range of challenges.

We needed to step into the client's perspective—considering what it would feel like to occupy those rooms. How would conversations flow when the space was divided? What potential frustrations could arise if the design was only theoretical and not practical?

This is where the real work begins. It involves more than just sketching lines on a plan; it requires envisioning the experience before it even comes to life.

Key considerations included:

- The folding partition had to do more than just divide; it needed to minimize sound so that two meetings could occur simultaneously.
- Tables had to be flexible enough for transformation while remaining anchored, as the network and power were integrated.
- Lighting had to adjust for both intimacy and scale.
- Air conditioning needed to provide consistent service, regardless of the layout.

All of this had to be accomplished while maintaining aesthetics, ensuring the space felt thoughtfully designed rather than a compromise.

In the end, it wasn’t about walls or tables—it was about creating an experience where function meets feeling. Isn’t that what design is truly about?

It’s amazing what can be achieved with a little creativity—and a bit of stubbornness to make imagination real.

This reception desk started as a simple sketch. Those curves and layers looked great on paper, but making them real took careful design and solid craftsmanship. Now, it's exactly how we imagined.
