Who said no biryani when dieting????

Angane Njanum undaki trending Zero Oil Zero Ghee Chicken Biryani and Chicken Fry.

Recipe:

Chicken: 500gm
Rice: 500gm
Onion sliced: 2
Tomato sliced: 2 medium.
Garlic, Ginger and Greenchilly crushed: 3 tbspn.
Curd: 2-3 tbspn.
Chillypowder: 1 tbspn.
Salt: to taste.
Turmeric powder: 1/2 tspn.
Pepper powder: 1 tspn.
Garam masala: 1/4 tspn.
Cloves: 2-3.
Cardamom:2
Fennelseeds: 1/2 tspn.
Mint & coriander leaves: chopped as needed.
Lemon juice: 1 small lemon.
Water: for open pot 1 1/2 cup per glass of rice and for cooker 1 glass per cup of rice.

Instructions: In a wide pan, add cleaned chicken, sliced onion,tomato, mint and coriander leaves, curd, spice powders, salt, lemon juice, whole spices and mix very well. Leave for marination a minimum 30 min.

Cook the chicken in pan for 15 min in low-medium flame. Once the released water from Chicken dries, add soaked rice mix gently. Add boiled water. Check for salt
Add some more chopped mint and coriander leaves. Cover and cook for another 10-15 min. Gently give a stir in between and slow cook till the rice is perfectly cooked.

Turn off stove. Rest for another 10 min undisturbed.

Serve hot with any raita of your choice, Zero Oil Chicken Fry and salads.

To make Zero Oil Chicken fry: Cover and cook the marinated chicken in a low flame using a heavy bottomed non-stick pan. After 5-10 min sprinkle little water. Cover and cook till it's done.
